The PeriyarUniversityestablished in 1997 on 17th September by the government of Tamil Nadu. The name of the university was given in the honor of a great social reformer E. V. Ramasamy affectionately called Thanthai Periyar. The university is situated in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India which covers the area of four districts Salem, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri and Namakkal. The university was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2007.
The university started with three departments in the postgraduate program. Now the university is providing many different professional and diploma courses of three and four years duration courses. The university started a program for distance education named as PERIYAR INSTITUTUE OF DISTANCE EDUCATION (PRIDE). The PRIDE program is providing various undergraduate and post graduate courses to the students. The university is providing many facilities to the students for better development in many fields.
Periyar University Results 2013:-
The university conducts exams for these different courses in the end of each academic year or semester by the rule of the TamilNadu University. Mostly exams are conducted in December and may month of the year. The results of the exams are declared in two months after the exams by the university. The results are published on the official website of the university. The result will be shown at www.periyaruniversity.ac.in.
